Jillian Rae Ludwig, my beloved niece, was a talented and kind young woman whose passion for music and community touched countless lives. Tragically, at just 18, she passed away on November 8, 2023, after being struck by a stray bullet while jogging near her college campus in Nashville, TN. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.
 
Jillian excelled in music from an early age, playing multiple instruments and performing around the Jersey Shore. She created "Playing it Forward" to raise funds for those in need in the music community. To honor her memory, her parents started the Rae of Light Foundation, and tee shirts are being sold to raise money for the charity and to continue her legacy of giving back. 100% of the proceeds from these sales will be donated to her foundation.
 
I created the artwork for the shirts with the hope that it will one day become a mural in her honor, and we are still looking for the perfect location to make that dream a reality. The design was inspired by Jillian’s love of the ocean, animals, flowers, and, most of all, music—capturing her spirit beautifully.
 
When you wear her wings on your back, you carry her memory with you. At the bottom of the wings is a Spotify scan code that, when scanned, takes you directly to her song, How Long, so her voice can stay with you too.
